Abstract

|
|
Tuberoud sclerosis is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait which is characteristics of epilepsy, mental retardation and adenoma sebaceum. It may be associated with hamartomas including renal angiomyolipoma.
Renal angiomyolipoma are uncommon benign neoplasms composed of mature adipose tissue, thickwalled blood vessels and smotth muscle in varying proportions, which are found in more than 50% of the patients with tuberous sclerosis. Whe associated
with
tuberous sclerosis, they are usually small, bilateral and multifocal. We present a case of bilateral renal nagiomyolipoma with tuberous sclerosis in a 31-year old female.
